Tuesday, June 16 – Dinosaur Party
This party will be DINO-MITE! Have fun while learning more about dinosaurs and other creatures that lived long ago. Games, crafts, snacks and BIG dino fun!
Tuesday, June 23 – Mud Day!
Celebrate International Mud Day at the library. Prepare to get muddy at this interactive program featuring games, crafts and a whole lotta mud! See what you can “unearth”! Dress for a mess and bring a towel.
Tuesday, June 30 – Open Build!
Get your creative juices flowing as you build a creation that can be displayed in the library! Lego, duplo, magna tiles and other blocks will be available. What story will your creation tell?
Tuesday, July 7 – Birthday Bash!
Have you ever wanted to have your birthday party at the library? Join us as we celebrate America’s 250th birthday with games, activities, prizes and treats.
Tuesday, July 14 – Korner Gem (intended for ages 8+)
Get ready to rock! Korner Gem’s Kevin Gauthier will help you identify your favorite rocks and will give a demonstration on rock cutting and polishing. You are encouraged to BYOR – bring your own rocks! This program is intended for kids 8 years and older
Tuesday, July 21 – Build Day!
Get your creative juices flowing as you build a creation that can be displayed in the library! Lego, duplo, magna tiles and other blocks will be available. What story will your creation tell?
Tuesday, July 28 – Rock Painting
We provide the rocks and paint and you create something beautiful! Rocks of all sizes will be available. Take your painted rocks home or add them to our Rock Snake in the garden next to the library.
Tuesday, August 4 – Digging the Past (intended for ages 8+)
The Benzie Area Historical Museum and Benzie Shores Library are ready to take you on an adventure through artifacts and archeology at the library! Learn how archeologists uncover and examine artifacts with hands-on activities.
